1st Degree Recommended Black Belt Mid-Term Requirements

1st Degree Recommended Black Belt Testing & Mid-Term Requirements

 

(Approximately a six-month process.)

 

A total of 490 point from these two mid-terms is required to be eligible to test for

1st Degree Black Belt Decided.

 

1st Mid-Term – Forms Mid-term

 

All low rank forms - This mid-term may be broken into two mid-terms,

demonstrating ½ of the forms at each testing

2nd Mid-Term – Mid-term, Protech Weapon

 

Bahng Mahng EE

Ø     Drill #1            Nine Angles of Strike (alternating hands)

Ø     Drill #2            Forward Twirl

Ø     Drill #3            Reverse Twirl

Ø     Drill #4            Fan Strike

Ø     Drill #5            #1 through #6 Partner Counts

Ø     Drill #6            #1 and #2 Disarming

Ø     Drill #7            6 Count (Chicken Wing)

Board Breaking- The student will be allowed 3 attempts to break each station. Higher scores are obtained if the student breaks on the first attempt less for the second or third

Jump Front Kick (face level)

Ø     Option #2            Reverse Punch

Step Forward Reverse Side Kick (middle section)

Ø     Option #3            Back Elbow

Jump Side Kick (1 obstacle)

Ø     Option #4            Round Kick

Reverse Side Kick

The student will be invited to test for first degree decided black belt when all of the instructors, Ms. Still and Mr. Lary feel he/she is ready. The essential requirements for testing are knowledge of the material that is performed with power, speed and determination, having a great attitude and displaying courtesy, respect, and some leadership skills in class, at home and in school.
